Xopero extends its disaster recovery technology
We just released an update for our two local backup solutions – Xopero Backup&Restore and Xopero QNAP Appliance. Recent months show that our company strongly focused on the disaster recovery technology development. The result of these works is the Xopero Image Tool, a well received free stand-alone application which allows fast image conversion to any other format supported by popular hypervisors like Hyper-V, VMware, Virtualbox and KVM (to learn more check this blog post). At the same time, our team also worked on expanding the core DR technology – Smart Recovery – to the Xopero Backup&Restore solution. And today only five weeks after the premiere of XIT, we release this awaited update. Let’s find out what changes the new Xopero 3.9.6 release brings.
New feature coming soon – Xopero Image Tool
Xopero Image Tool is the newest application in Xopero recovery toolbox. It is used to convert between multiple hard drive image formats – from RAW to VHD, VHDX or VMDK and back. Thanks to such conversion it is possible to move your physical machine to any virtual environment such as Hyper-V, VMware or VirtualBox.
Xopero is available through a new ABC Data Cloud Platform
Let’s start with a brief information about the Cloud Platform: it enables for global and local providers to offer their solutions in the form of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) and Disaster Recovery as a Service (DraaS). For us it is a next important step, but it also means that our two cloud products – Xopero Cloud (dedicated for MSP and Public) and Xopero Cloud Personal (for small business and personal users) – are available to all resellers of this well-known distributor.
