It was easily predictable that the international success of Xopero will also reach our neighbors from the Czech Republic. We met our colleagues from the other side of our southern border for the first time by total accident during one of the events dedicated to our sector in 2016. Already in August we organized the training for our Czech friends after which the localization of materials began. As we acted quickly and efficiently, on February 1st we managed to open Xopero office in Prague. It constituted a very important step in our further cooperation and in the process of entering the new market.
So why Czech Republic? First of all – Czech as well as Slovak IT market is much more developed than the Polish one, in particular when it comes to cloud and backup services. In these countries there is also a greater trust in cloud products than in Poland. It is confirmed for example by our first sales successes. Xopero cloud products are at a very high position both in the Czech Republic as well as in Slovakia. We are the first company to cooperate among others with telecoms – T-mobile and Orange.
However, there is no success without people and it is worth to emphasize that without right persons our activities would not make any sense. We met an exceptional team of experts in the field with appropriate experience. These people not only have well established relationships with the industry, but they in particular realize all their visions and do not stop at the level of “big idea”. Petr Belatka – Sales Director
Petr Belatka is at IT business from 1996, last 11 years he worked at Symantec/Veritas as account manager and later Country Manager responsible for 5 countries (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia). Petr has great experience with selling IT solutions, he graduated at University of Economics in Prague. He is married with three children and his hobbies are skiing, bicycle, motorcycles and golf. At Xopero he is responsible for international sales at selected countries.
Richard Vršník – Presales Engineer
Richard Vršník is at backup and storage business since 2000, when he joined HP as backup and storage specialists. From 2005 he worked for IBM, where he designed and implemented large scale storage solutions across Europe. At 2015 he joined Veritas team as Presales Engineer for Backup, Archiving and HA and Storage products. At Xopero he is at position of Presales Engineer covering international presales activities.
Zdeněk Kopta – Country Manager CZ & SK
Zdeněk Kopta comes from COMPAREX CZ, where he was responsible for business development of selected enterprise SW vendors (for example IBM, VMware, Symantec). He is in IT business for more than 10 years and has great knowledge of cooperation with all parts of channel, starting from vendor, through distribution, till the end customer. He graduated at University of West Bohemia – Electrical Technology and besides sport for fun, he also loves Italian motorcycles. At Xopero, he is responsible for business activities in CZ and SK.
What exactly are Petr, Richard and Zdenek doing? First of all, they are constructing distribution channel on the Czech and Slovak market. They also get involved in project sales addressed to big companies. They are also responsible for introducing next products from our offer as well as local solutions to the market. But what is the most important, they form a tight team of great experts, they are full of commitment and realize all good ideas. We are glad that we have the opportunity to cooperate with them as we see the way to success in this relationship.
