The fact that Polish companies are conquering foreign markets should be emphasised as often as possible – especially in the context of the technology industry, the development of which is now highly influenced by Polish enterprises. Over the last years, thanks to hard work and commitment of the best employees, Xopero has been expanding its business horizons, reaching the sunny Italy in 2016.
Why Italy? The path was rather intuitive – the company observed that QNAP servers were selling very well in that region: the Italians were buying larger (and thus more expensive) models than Polish users. And because Xopero Software was the only company to develop a dedicated solution for comprehensive QNAP NAS data protection, it became obvious that they had to embrace this opportunity. “Sales summaries and reports have shown that the Italian market had great potential. We started with Xopero QNAP Appliance and Xopero Backup & Restore. And now, the time has come for the cloud product.” – said Robert Zentkowski, Sales Manager Xopero Software.
The first discussion with ‘Team Italia’ started between the first and second quarter of 2016. Already in June, the cooperation emerged in full swing, and the company launched its first collaboration with the S-mart distribution brand. In Italy, they employed Claudio Carrara – Pre-sales & Support, Mauro Ciacci – Channel Manager, and Nicole Marotta – Country Manager, who brought in his 15 years of experience in the technology industry. Over the years, Nicola has been responsible for cooperation with many companies from the IT sector. He had the opportunity to work with Toshiba and Acer – both in Italy and at the European level. In recent years, Nicola gained vast experience in cloud and backup solutions.
Since the appearance of the experienced Italian team, the intensive work doesn’t stop – the company holds technical and sales webinars on a regular basis, and is now launching technical and certification/sales curriculums for local partners. In the near future, Xopero Software will also finish negotiations with two further distributors – Allnet and Brevi (a cash and carry distributor). “Each new market, in which we try to introduce our products, is treated as a challenge. In the IT industry, and in particular in backup services, we have to deal with both demanding customers and strong competition. First of all, we want to offer our Italian customers the best possible product and professional attitude. We are very positive about our further cooperation and we hope that 2017 will be filled with successes” – said Łukasz Jesis, CEO Xopero Software.
If the pace of Xopero’s development continues, we can expect a huge international success. We already know about further negotiations with new distributors – this time in Hong Kong and Australia. We keep our fingers crossed for the enthusiasm, perseverance and expanding reach of Xopero on an international scale.
