Full control over data retention and versioning
Do you know that Microsoft offers up to 30-days data retention for business users with the use of the Recycle Bin? Please bear in mind that Recycle Bin can be accidentally or intentionally cleared and without a proper backup, there is no way to restore your data.
Forget about limited retention. Have full control over how long you want to store full, incremental, and differential copies to find a compromise between meeting your company needs, legal requirements, and effective management of storage capacity.
You can define the retention rules in three ways:
- by indicating the time of each copy to be kept in the storage. Those parameters are set separately for the full, differential, and incremental backup.
- by indicating the number of copies you want to keep,
- disabling rules and keeping all versions.
There are two important assumptions about the versioning - we never delete the last version and Xopero ONE will always make sure not to disturb the continuity of the version chains.
